few days ago i checked the new lacoste ad! Inspired by terry richardson's photo shoot and with the "un peu d'air sur terre" slogan, the models change clothes while on air! Kostas Murkudis is a German designer born in Dresden with Greek roots. Studied fashion design at Berlin´s Lette-Verein school. His first job was at JOOP and right after that he became the first assistant to HELMUT LANG. His first collection was presented at 2006 and from then he designs both men and women collections.

For his fall collection he said that, Fall is about glass and protection: the colors and shapes behind glass.

the metal shoes of danube

so the other night i was reading Yalom's latest book, "i'm calling the police" where the subject is the Holocaust in Hungary when i just froze for a minute the moment i saw the picture above.
in the first look, without looking what was written at the bottom of the page i found the picture increadibly beautiful. me-the shoe maniac- i just loved how all these shoes were put near the edge of the river Danube. and then i read what was written at the bottom...
i don't remember the exact words but from what i found later that night at wikipedia "it is a memorial to the Budapest Jews who fell victim to the Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest and depicts their shoes left behind on the bank when they fell into the river after having been shot during Word War II".
i just can't get over this picture.

just found! this photo shoot is taken from tatler magazine and it takes place in the island of santorini as you may have guessed. The black dresses in frond of the white walls of the Greek churches look amazing! i especially like the white detail of the second dress.
the only thing that seem a little bit funny at the moment is when i imagine myself wearing the clothes and walking around santorini in the middle of the summer! it would be a torture as the temperature is around 35 degrees and the only color you are not supposed to wear under the sun is black!!

someday you'll be a vogue cover

Danny Roberts as well as John-Paul Thurlow are both lovers of pens,pencils, and all forms of colors. Except that, they both are fashion lovers. So there is no better way to combine both than designing fashion themes.
Danny has a very impressive blog where you can find fashion photoshoots remade by him, magazine covers, even the portraits of other bloggers as he is a blog lover,too.
John-Paul Thurlow on the other hand has a thing about covers! in his blog you can find almost every known magazine title only that the covers are made by his hand! he even draw the legendary image of John Lennon wrapped naked around Yoko Ono.
One thing's for sure,they both love vogue and maybe i'm too young and naive but some day you'll see their names inside the magazine!

Maria Nafpliotou is one of those actresses that always amaze me. She has the perfect body,the perfect move, the perfect voice and she is one of the most beautiful Greek women.
Also, the costumes of the play were all black. The use of fluorescent colours in the glasses and in other accessories and clothes was very smart and it made the whole scene look quite interesting.

my mind is still on summer..

so weather during easter was more than perfect. a friend of mine even said that she saw greek girls (not tourists) walking around the center in flip flops,mini dresses and the top of their bathing suits as a bra (quite common during summer). .and that means one thing. summer is on the way and as i'm seeing everywhere pictures from the Coachella music festival that was held near Los Angeles and Palm Springs this past weekend, i can't stop thinking of the perfect look for the beach. A look that will get you through the day, that will be effortless but at the same time strong enough to make a statement. I know that during summer i will change my mind a lot of times as i will get excited with every look i'll find interesting looking the girl swimming next to me at the time, but for now i made my conclusion. The girl in the left of the picture has the winning look!
